Day13-The high tuesday!

Yesterday didn't start at a high note, but did end on a very high note: It started with me about to set off to the market again, when I realised that I missed an appointment with the GGD to take a tuberculosis test for my residence permit here! I kept thinking it was on wednesday! I went super late with some other guy who was late too and they asked us to fix another appt :( So I wheeled myself back home for lunch. I had 2 bun sandwitches for lunch! heavy! After lunch, i fixed the new appt with them, on friday. I then went down to the turkish shop that yuting recommended to fix my bike. By that time, it was 15 mins before their closing time ald and the lazy guy asked me to come back tmr! I went down to Aldi's to get cookies, yoghurt and cucumber and came back home! After the usual ricey dinner, I went down to the ice-skating place! Before I went down, I tried to fix the light that I had brought from s'pore. There were 3 lights, but somehow, the screwing thing spoilt cos they don't fit my bike :( So, I used the string from IKEA to tie it up and I managed to get it done before my hands froze! yay! I made room for ideas! I then cycled down to the place. By the time I reached, I was having a bad stomach ache and had to go to the toilet :( bad day! After asking around a bit, I found the teacher, thanks to friendly dutch people! I can't thank them enough, they just wonderful to asians :) The coach was this man, half my height (do note that the average height of dutch men is 1.85 meter, taller than me!). He said that the trainer for beginners will only come on thursday but told me that I can skate for free on the rink! Yippeee! I had to pay 4 euros for the skates rental though but I had a super fun time! The place take ice-skating to a whole new level! They play disco-type music, turn off the white lights and turn on the disco lights! And everybody was skating super fast, but there were a few asians to join me at my speed :) hahah! And without even knowing it, I was skating 1 round in 1 min each! ThoughI was only wearing 2 layers (thermal + tee) I was perspiring ald! And I got super energetic!! It lasted for 2 hours but time seemed to be going away fast! On the way back, I enquired about buying skates and they told me it costs ~ 70 to 80 euros for a recreational one. I'll go ask my parents first :P The skates they rent out to me could slide sideways a bit, like the one that Derek got at first, when we went skating at kallang. But I managed nonetheless. I'll post a video of it soon, together with the other videos i promised! I'm off to the bike shop now!
