Day 17- Carnival and CNY Dinner

This is what the one week holiday is about! Carnival! It seems to be a dutch version of our Chingay parade. But with its differences, of course. On this monday is a parade of 42 floats in the afternoon. For the rest of the week people dress up and pub-hop and get crazy! I went down after doing my laundry in the morning and met Johnny and Kai Hee along the way! After some time, we got separated from Johnny. And we started feeling cold too! it was sub-zero temperature! brrr!

the thing about feeling cold here is that the body normally feels warm with all those 4 layers. It's the normally the hands that get frozen first, then the feet. And the fingernails start getting painfull. And so, we started walking around more and went into shelters once in a while to warm up! hahah!

And here is Kai Hee with the bunny boys:

There are lots more pics, actually, do visit my facebook!

That day, we walked on and on till we got further than Van Abbe Meuseum! And there are these public urinals in Eindhoven for guys which are wayy too public. The guys here actually use them!!:

And.. we saw a ghost buster!

When we were just deciding to go back after warming up in a shoe shop, we checked our phones and figured out that our frens had been trying to reach us! And so, we went back to the central station to meet them and go get ready for the...

CNY dinner!! Yay!! I cooked Tamarind rice and Parrupu rice, both indian dishes. Simple to cook! There were about 12 people who came over to eat! And there was more than enough food! Jiang Heng cooked tofu (traditional Chongqing style!), and FongChi provided the utensils and helped out a lot, Johnny cooked curry! Kai Hee cooked curry too! And she even cooked a vege one for mee!! Thanks, Kai Hee! And Saba bought drinks, bread to go with the curry and helped me out a lot :D And Gigi bought dutch cakes! Pak bought Korean spaghetti and some other korean dish... And there were lots of other food as well! Nearly everyone of us were from different countries! S'pore, India, Africa, Turkey, Spain, China, Indonesia...
And Azri, Ayson and Pau joined us in their costumes!

I'll put up the videos real soon! Onto tmr, valentines day!!
