2nd Intro day & moving into my room!

Today was super packed with stuff, with events overlapping! Firstly, I will be moving from my hotel room into my own room! Secondly, there was a introduction event by my department, the School of Industrial Engineering and Innovation Sciences, starting at 1230pm. Thirdly, my lessons are also starting todaY!! There's one from 230 to 530! Firstly, I had to go down to Vestide, the housing agency to get the keys. FC joined me, since she was going to put her stuff in my room. she'll be moving in tmr, into a house beside mine! So we up early and I booked a cab. After returning my room keys, we brought all our luggages down to by the roadside. Park met us too! He is a damn nice guy la! his place is about 600m away and still he came all the way down so early just to see us off! No wonder so many of my frens wanna find korean boyfriends! hahah! We left the place in the cab at ~915:

The cab's navigation system was simple, yet high-tech! As you can see, the driver only has few buttons to work with. He inputted the address of Vestide and the system started to give directions (ref to pic).

Down at Vestide, we decided that FC will stay in the taxi and wait for me to go get the key. But when i went in, I met Jiang Heng who told me that the ppl need to explain the whole of the housing contract to me and so it'll take lots of time. I immediately talked to the counter lady and decided on our plan B: To let FC go down to the place and wait for me there. But 10 minuted after she left, it started snowing! bad weather! And it was quite heavy! I called her up and found out that she found a place away from the snow, but no place to sit down there :( I was sure that it'ld take at least an hour. Oh, and on a side note, the counters at Vestide uses iMacs!! How cool is that!

Finally, my name was called up and a lady explained the terms to me and 2 ladies who were under similar terms. She said that the cleaners had just cleaned my room and that it'ld take till at least 11 to take my keys! So, I called up FC to inform her! Poor thing! She was stuck in the snow with all the luggage! It was still snowing heavily! At about 1055, I went to the counter to ask for the key and explained to her the situation and after some time, she came to the waiting area with a few keys. I collected my keys and left the place. Saba was there too, and left the place with me. I walked in the snow with FC's map. The snow was soon drenching the map! I found my way to this stadium, which was one of the landmarks that I was supposed to pass by. After that, a lady gave me wrong instructions and I ended up going far up Boschijt street till around saba's place! Somehow, I found my way back and after about 3 hours of her waiting in the snow, I met FC! WE dragged our luggages up 3 floors and into my room. There were no room mates. We had to rush down immediately for the introduction day! On the way, we met up with Johnny and Azri, who were also late cos of some reason. The place we were supposed to go to, Pavilijion, was on the other side of the campus and we had walk walk walk even more! Luckily, the map was quite easy to follow here. We were 30 mins late and the ppt ended just 4 mins after we reached!

Lunch again, was a traditional dutch lunch, with about 5 types of buns to choose from, milk, fruits and cheeses. At this time, I also found out that the lectures for masters course were cancelled for that afternoon, cos of the Introduction day! yay! After lunch, we had another ppt andthey gave out the student cards and our internet user accounts! After that, we were split into groups to go on a scavenger hunt around the city! My group gave up half way and ended up in a bar when it started raining/snowing! After that, we went to another lovely place for dinner:

Finally, at about 10pm, i reached my room! And I also found a shorter way to it form the stadium! I went to find the bike that Yuting had left for me! I had to go down about 4 times to make sure I had found the right bike cos I had trouble opening the lock. And it was cold too, not that my body was cold, but I had to remove the gloves to open the lock! the lock was kinda rusted since it was exposed to rain and snow for ~ 1 week :(

Although it was time to sleep, I took a few snaps of my super big room! :

And the stuff to put on my bed were brand new, form IKEA!! It was already half asleep by the time I put on everything on my mattress!

Couldn't believe some ppl still went to pub after that dinner! how do they sleep??!!
