From Azri's to Hotel room!

Azri let me bunk into his room for the first night, since my hotel fees won't be sponsored by the uni for that night :P But on the 2nd day, it was time to move out to my hotel room! It's the same case for FC too! So, we got up in the morning and took a shower! Yesterday, at the airport, I bought a croissant, a twist bread and something else, which i forgot.

Today, i had the 2 pieces of twisted bread for breakfast. The rest had bread, bought from the supermarket the day before. They were tasty and filling! After that, when Azri went to bathe, the 2 girls and I decided to go out and explore the place! We found a busstop nearby, a playground and a map! and took a few photos too! Although it was super cold, there weren't any snow :(

We went back to the house with frozen hands to get some warmth. FC and I were supposed to move out to the Woon Hotel that day. So, I e-mailed a taxi company called pintaxi (info@pintaxi.nl) and asked them about it. We were all impressed as the company rep replied in a few minutes. oh, and thanks to the kind soul living near Azri's house, who left his/her wireless unsecured! hahah! it was called wsb and we just used it as it was more convienient. It helped to keep my itouch updated as well. That taxi company turned out to be fully booked in the end and we sorta gave up. They suggested another taxi company though and it was cibatax, who didn't reply mail :( After all that, we were hungry and decided to have lunch. By that time, Johnny and Saba walked over. I wondered how they could withstand the cold all the way. The nose was already running badly! So, we went down to the supermarket to buy groceries and took a few pics along the way and at the store! Some of the stuff were cheaper than in Singapore. Some more ex and some about the same price.

Azri and KH bought their groceries too! And the Albert Heijns (the supermart) doesn't give plastic bags, so we had to squeeze them into our own bags and the 2 Albert Heijns bags that we bought for ~S$50 cents each and carry the rest by hand. And so, we made our way back home! It was only about 600m from the house, quite convenient! Back at home we unpacked the groceries and started cooking!
And we split ourselves into people to take photos, cook and wash dishes! Kai Hee was good at frying! Saba was good at taking pics! The rest were good too! hahah! And here are the pics:

And after having lunch, Azri's housemate Aysun told me about a taxi that she used before and gave me the number. and Saba lent me his phone to call the company. And mind you, his phone is roaming, so that should have costed him a bomb! Anyhow, I called for the taxi to come in 10 minutes and it did! haha! I super rushy cos I didn't expect it to come so fast! The others helped too and we left for our hotel! Along the way i got to see new parts of Eindhoven city! I told myself that I would come back to these areas once i've got my hands on a bike! FC sat at the back, taking care of the stuff while I sat infront.

When we reached the hotel, we dragged our luggages into the building. It was a budget hotel and so it was just a housey building. The manager talked to us about the accomodation for a while. We learnt that we had to live in the same room with other students :( And we had to drag our luggages to another building too. And peggy booked FC's room one day earlier than that day! So, we dragged our luggages to another bulding across the road. That building smelled smoky on the first floor and some of those guys offered to help us with our luggages. Why? Cos our room was on the top of the building! The third floor! Want another reason? Here you go: The staircase could barely fit 2 people abreast and was spiral. So yup.. we finally got onto the room. And this post is not gonna have any more pics cos we were disappointed with the room! hahah, it just had 3 beds, a cupboard, and a fridge. And we had to share a toilet downstairs with other people and the whole building had 2 toilets. After FC updates her peeps with the news and I did some blogging, we went down to buy dinner! We went down a bit late for the shops here in Eindhoven and so had to settle with Albert Heijns's bread and milk. We bought stuff for breakfast. Cornflakes. They were quite cheap! And when we came back, we found a guy in our room! He was italian and his name was gigi! He talked to his home in Italy with skype while we continued with our stuff. He told us that he walked to the hotel all the way form the central station! That's super far le! But anyway, we all have to pack up and get down to school the next day. So, I slept early. I happened to wake up at about 11pm to the noise of somebody new. I thought there were at least 2 new people but there was this girl from argentina. She said she will be moved out soon. The other 2 were already talking to her. I talked to her for a while and we all went to sleep so that we can walk all the way to school the next day! We had introduction day by the school. I wasn't sure when it would end. Next post!
