This monday was great! Although the temp was falling to -3 deg, I was warm in my room! The problem with the radiator in the room is that it is coupled with the temp sensor in the kitchen. And my kitchen has a balcony, separated by a door :) So, I opened tt balcony door and the sensor read ~10 deg, instead of the normal 20.5 deg (that's the warmest it gets in my room, without opening the balcony door). With the kitchen freezing, the water pumped into my radiator got boiling hot and kept my room warm :) After getting ready for the day, I met Park and Azri at the gym. Johnny had some meeting to attend. I ran 4.78km on the treadmill, in 24.5 mins. hahah, I wanted to run 10km, but I wasn't hydrated enough :( I'll have to start training my legs here! After the run, I went to play with their machines! THey were super high-tech! If you drop the weights too fast, the system will sense and catch the weights and warn you! cool right? After that, Azri and I had lunch at auditorium since Park had to run off for his class. This was his first time to that place and he realised how ex the stuff were! hahah, I had salad and squeezed in as many olives and stuff as possible into the cup. In the end, it was overflowing ald! hahah! After that, I went down to the supermarket to buy groceries. I wanted to join in the ice-skating lessons that my 60 euro sports card entitles me to! The info sheet said that the lessons are on mon, tue and thu! So, I decided to go down in that evening! According to google maps, the route that i normally take is 6.5km long! So, that night, I went all the way down in my bike! And my bike was getting faulty. I can't figure out why, cos it's hard to replicate the problem. sometimes, the paddle just stops turning the wheel! I'll have to find a bike shop to fix it. Anyway, I went down to the ice-skating place and it was HUGE!! There was this ice-skating rink which was about twice the size of the rink at kallang and it was indoors. There was also a speed-skating track which was like a typical running track measuring 400m around but covered with ice! And the skaters were all just zoooming on it, like we see in the olympics! Anyway, I managed to find the person I e-mailed earlier on and she told me that I had come on the wrong day! That day was only for license holders! She asked me to come back tmr, and later replied to my mail, saying that it's free admission tmr evening. I just have to pay for the skates. So, I came back home :( And along the way, i found a shorter route! This one is just 5.3 km! yay! And as I was cycling along the stadium, I saw the police talking to a cyclist! He seemed to be handing over some ticket or sth! And he stopped me too! and he said something in dutch and I had to say 'sorry?' twice. He eventually got hat I don't speak dutch and said 'Where are your lights?' Opps! I was cycling without my lights on! I then put on an innocent face and said 'I..I have no lights!' (what else can I say?) He then said 'Then you'll have to walk!'. And he let me off without fineing :D And I was super near to my house ald, so no prob walking! phew! Back home, I made a hot dinner with extra rice to make up for the day and went to sleep! zzz... no pics for today!
