After the dinner (below), i went back to sleep and woke up the following day to pack up stuff. I was going to be moving out of PGP this coming weekend, in fact tmr. And I was supposed to have a Cyberia Camp OG lunch/dinner outing on wednesday but that got cancelled. And i took the opportunity to start up on my homegoings. These 2 homegoings are attempts to walk to my house at Serangoon (a few blocks away from nyjc), from my room at PGP, atrting at around midnight. Following is how the first homegoing went.
After washing up, i was delayed since i had to attend to a phone call from my mom. HAHA! Not knowing what i was up to, she innocently wished me a ‘good night’ :) Yup, I’m gonna walk all night! How can it not be good? :P
I did not want to directly walk back home. Instead, i wanted to explore Kent Ridge park first, before setting out for home. And i hadn’t really planned my route, which led to an interesting adventure illustrated by TONS of pics i took during the walk! Read on!
This was at 12:20 AM, about to walk out of PGP.
Shot of the road leading out of PGP
This is the south Buona vista road, leading to Kent Ridge park
Supposed to be an artistic photo of the moon surrounded by trees
Empty busstop with a bright UFO at the corner :D
Some remains of an accident. The road here is really curvy.
One of the few pics with me inside!
The steeeep slope up. I was exploring the settings on my camera here. Apparently the intelligent auto mode is not really intelligent enough :P This shot was taken under manual settings.
I like this picture! I was experimenting with the wavey effect of moving the camera!
The fantastic view from the top: It’s a lot nicer in real-life. A zoomed up version is below. I realise that my camera’s zooming is not really that fantastic: 3x optical and upto 12x digital. If this one spoils, the next one would have more optical zoom. At least 7x or more, to be decent.
Trying to be artistic :P
Me playing on the rope!
Nice parky landscape @ Kent ridge. I was trying to get to the other side of kent ridge, to go on into Pasir Panjang roador the west coast highway, so that i could get to Alexandra road.
And there was this open space, all dark, with 3 flag poles at one end and some cannon at a corner. I was just testing out the power of my flash here. Hmm… Quite good!
Artictic shot of the moon behind the trees!
I increased my exposure to the max for this shot. The moonlight was quite good too! I wonder why the clouds look yellow though :P
This was the open space, with exposure to the max.
Another place with fantastic view! This time, it was the Harbour, with the expressway going across. This was when i found out that i was sorta going around in circles. So i decided to just follow the signboards :P HAHA!
Another trying-to-be artistic shot of the park. After walking on for some time, i found a way out of the park: The canopy walk that lead to hort park and Science park! But… There were practically no lights along the way! So i was scared! I had earlier tried the walk during sunset and that was already scary! anyway, i didn’t wanna go all the way back so…. i just walked in! And.. i seriously wished i had brought a torch light.
This was how the board walk was, with flash.
The view was nice, though. And sort of took away the scariness. Too bad, the camera couldn’t take it even though i max-ed the ISO and exposure time. (above)
Anyway, it was supposed to be a canopy walk, so thsi is how is was from the top, looking down, with flash. It’ld be darkness without flash.
Trying to be artistic with my flash :P
Shot of the park below me, taken from the canopy walk.
After i got out of the walk, i ended up at this place with windy roads to bring me down to civilisation. The shot below was me ending up in a familiar place again! West coast highway!
The time was 1:43am when i got on to this highway. Among the taxis that drove by, there were a few that slowed down and EVEN BEEPED to get my attention!! gosh! I should have just ignored them la! I was too nice: I turned around signal that i wasn’t looking for a cab.
