I went windsurfing on the sunday, the 4th. I had something on that morning and so had to go for the afternoon session. If not, i could have gone for both :( anyway, i came in ‘just in time’, the journey was long. I had to take a bus to Changi airport and take another bus from there. yes. There is no ‘opposite busstop’ for the PA water venture @ east coast. And there’s only one service :( I’m always amazed at how there are so few busses to east coast park even though it’s such a popular place for ppl to go and unwind.
Anyway, Windsurfing was great. I fell down a lot less frequently and i’ve started to feel the relationship between the direction of the wind and my travel. I went out really far but nope, not far enough to get towed back by the rescue boat on operation :P I’ll certainly try to go further and attract the rescue boat next time. There were a few times when i was really far off from the shore. But i’m really glad that i managed to get back myself !! Thanks to the wind that day!! Too bad i didn’t take much pics, although i think my camera was in my bag. btw, the 2h+ costed my 8 bucks, normal price is 16, i think.
On a sadder note, i found out that there’s some inter faculty competition at the end of january :( That means that all the sessions would be for the competitors to train. So, the next recre surf session will be on the first week of feb.
Blow wind, blow!!
